Another year, another try at the Ride for Heart.  The annual fundraiser that closes down 2 major highways in downtown Toronto to allow pedestrians on to walk, run or ride. We were originally going to opt out this year since we had a major bathroom

Goodbye West Coast Onwards and upwards into the mountains again, from Vancouver Island we head east again on the 2nd half of our journey and back home. We board our early morning ferry and head back to the mainland. We sadly part ways with our

After an early morning pack up, we head back across the island from Tofino to Parksville and Rathtrevor Beach.  Yet again, we experience a magnificient drive through the mountains and lakes to get through to the east side of the island. We arrived in Parksville

The west coast The drive from Kelowna to Whistler was the less travelled option. We chose not to drive down through Vancouver as we would be doing that drive later in the trip so we detoured north through Merritt, Spence Bridges, Lilooet and Pemberton. The

Another early morning rise and pack up and we were off to Kelowna.  As we descended out of the mountains, the temperature quickly rose from the 1 degC we experienced at Lake Louise at 8 am to 28 degC in Kelowna.  As our A/C had

Our journey continued from Calgary into the foothills rather quickly and in the mountains… Gobsmacked by the sheer beauty of it all, we made our way to Banff National Park. Hiccup Amidst admiring all of the beauty we suddenly heard a pop and uh ohhh…
